PRESENTATION INFORMATION: An active threat doesn’t stay neatly within the boundaries of security—and neither should our response. This session takes you inside Suncoast Credit Union’s active threat exercise, conducted with the C-Suite, Incident Management Team, and Physical Security team in collaboration with DHS and Hillsborough County SWAT. We’ll unpack what worked, what didn’t, and the lessons that emerged—showing how a well-designed exercise can expose gaps, strengthen cross-functional coordination, and turn “what if?” into actionable resilience. PRESENTERS: Alison Osborn is an Air Force veteran, consultant, and continuity professional whose career has focused on helping people and organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruption. Following military service, Alison worked in behavioral and teaching-focused roles, building a strong foundation in communication, training, problem-solving, and understanding how people respond under pressure. This experience evolved into consulting work supporting organizations with emergency management, preparedness, resilience, and organizational planning, followed by a role with the American Red Cross. Today, Alison serves as a Business Continuity Planner with Suncoast Credit Union, where she leads enterprise-wide business impact analysis and continuity initiatives designed to strengthen organizational resilience and recovery. Alison also serves as Vice President of the Greater Tampa Bay Association of Continuity Professionals, where she supports the growth of the continuity profession and creates opportunities for professionals to connect, learn, and share best practices. Stacy Jackson is the Director of Business Resilience at Suncoast Credit Union, where he leads enterprise-wide efforts to safeguard people, facilities, and critical operations against disruption. In this role, he oversees crisis management, business continuity, emergency management, and physical security programs supporting more than 80 facilities and 2,600 employees across the organ
