Connecticut

We are a group of dedicated professionals involved in business continuity and disaster recovery planning. ACP-CT provides a forum in which to share best practices, develop professional relationships and encourages continued professional growth and experience. Members enjoy this economical alternative to out-of-town conferences as the CT Chapter addresses the unique needs and culture of Southern New England.

Meetings are held monthly, typically on the second Tuesday of the month, at this point meetings will be virtual and Zoom information will be sent out with email. Meetings features guest speaker(s) on hot topics via presentation and round-table discussions. The Chapter welcomes ideas for future presentation topics and appreciates presenter referrals.

About Us

The Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP) – Connecticut Chapter was chartered on November 28, 2005 and is the 34th Chapter servicing Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and Southern Rhode Island.

Our chapter is an active and experienced group of business continuity professionals. Membership includes a nice cross-section of firms that are world renowned and also regional in scope, providing a great environment in which to exchange ideas

In 2006, ACP-CT was the recipient of the Eagle Award, awarded yearly by ACP International to the chapter(s) with the largest membership growth. We shared this honor with the Boston chapter and look forward to continued growth.

FAQs

What is the cost to attend an ACP-CT meeting?

Regular monthly meetings (and lunch) are free to:

    • Active members of ACP International, regardless of their chapter affiliation.
    • Professionals interested in membership who have not previously attended an ACP-CT meeting.
    • Professionals who submit their new or renewal application by the end of a chapter meeting.

Those whose ACP membership has lapsed or have yet to join are asked to remit a $25 cover charge (to help defray expenses) at check-in.

I understand that attendance at ACP-CT meetings qualifies for DRII continuing education credits. Does the chapter automatically apply for my credits with DRII?

No. You must apply for your credits directly with DRII. The chapter membership directors keep a record of meeting attendance to support your request for DRII credits. When attending an ACP-CT meeting, please make sure to sign in or check your name on the meeting attendance sheet to verify your participation.

Why are meetings almost always held at Eversource Energy in Berlin, CT?

ACP-CT strives to provide outstanding value to its members; Eversource Energy has graciously allowed us to use their facility. Members who can host a meeting at a facility that can accommodate approximately 50 people (with free parking) should contact a member of the Leadership Team.
