PRESENTATION SYNOPSIS: Today's Cyber Threats With today’s changing environment, cyber threats are continuing to pose risks to all organizations. From the viewpoint of intelligence agencies, the threat landscape is about as volatile as they’ve seen it. Our speaker this month is Special Agent Charles McGuinness, from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Tampa Division. Charles will be updating us on the current threat landscape and will discuss mitigation strategies. There will also be a time for taking your questions on issues that may be currently emerging for different private sectors. ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Special Agent Charles McGuinness is the Private Sector Coordinator for the Tampa Division on the Gulf Coast from Fort Myers up to Hernando County north of Tampa Bay. SA McGuinness is the Tampa Division liaison for the InfraGard program in Tampa, assigned to provide coordination and assistance to private sector and critical infrastructure entities in the Gulf Coast region. SA McGuinness works to disseminate and translate intelligence and threat management awareness in order to assist corporate partners and critical infrastructure. Serving in the FBI for over 19 years, SA McGuinness has conducted investigations leading to prosecution and served as a supervisor for various criminal and national security programs at FBI Headquarters and in Central Florida since 2017. SA McGuinness has served the FBI in Oklahoma City, Corpus Christi, Texas, FBIHQ in Washington DC, and the Tampa Division.
