June 11 the Sioux Empire Association of Contingency Planners (ACP) meeting
will focus on Information Technology, specifically virtualization.
Why all the hype about virtualization?
Mike Marx will present the fundamentals of virtualization and highlight
why virtualization is critical to your business continuity capabilities.
Mike has extensive enterprise architectural and virtualization skills.
He has implemented many network, server and storage solutions for businesses
in the region.
Mike is currently working for VMPowered, a VMWare consulting partner based
in Minneapolis.
Some of his recent jobs include:
• Designed a scalable recovery architecture capable of supporting 1 Petabyte
of data for St Jude Medical, a manufacturing company of 27,000 people.
• Planned project for a site-wide P2V (Physical to Virtual) conversion
of several hundred servers for ING Bank’s Seattle office
• Conducted LabManager training jumpstart for Thompson Reuters – a publishing
company of 10,000 people
