MISSION STATEMENT
Southeast Florida Association of Contingency Planners is the Premier Organization of contingency planners, business continuity professionals and emergency managers on the east coast of South Florida. Southeast Florida Association of Contingency Planners provides members an excellent information exchange experience and opportunities to set emergency response and recovery trends while
strengthening relationships through Southeast Florida Association of Contingency Planners alliances with public and private partners.
2008 GOALS
FACILITATE MEETINGS AND EVENTS WHICH BRING SOUTH FLORIDA PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY, DISASTER RECOVERY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE TOGETHER IN ONGOING COOPERATIVE AND COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS.
- Maintain the commitment of members to disaster recovery preparedness
- Offer useful information via guest speakers / field trips and provide networking opportunities during
quarterly meetings
- Present a variety of interactive workshops for members during the course of the year
- Damage Assessment / Rapid Response to a Disaster
- Communications Recovery
- Bomb Threats and Procedures
- Media Management
- Fire Prevention
- Business Preparation and Resumption
- Physical and Data Security
- Hazardous Materials
- HIPAA Issues
- Various Disaster Drills
