Meeting:
Aug 19th, 2008 Time:
11.30am to 1:30pm
Location:
8911 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, Ca 92123
Business Continuity Programs:
Keep it Clean and Simple!
The
topic of BCP and Business Resiliency has been around for
years, but with recent planned and unplanned events in
California and the world today, businesses of any size
need to proactively develop plans to protect their
associates and their business. We know the statistics:
up to sixty percent of small companies can collapse
within a year after experiencing a major denial of their
systems, their associates, or their facilities.
Tom
will provide an atypical and interesting overview of the
key facets of what is required to have a successful and
simple BCP. Within his presentation he will examine the
BCP life cycle, components, methodologies, tools, and
how BCP should be incorporated into project and
programs. With his delivery you will find Tom’s BCP
discussion entertaining as well as thought provoking.
The
overall success of BCP in your project, program, or
company will be attributed to a sound functioning set of
development tools, a defined and adopted methodology,
proficient teams, and standard operation procedures.
