The chapter was formed on June 17, 1993, with 15 members and has grown to around 40 members. Our mission is to provide professional information for our members concerning all aspects of contingency planning. We do not endorse any company, organization, product, or service.

We hope you find it informative and helpful. If you live in Oklahoma, Northwest Arkansas, Southeast Kansas, or Southwest Missouri and are interested in Business Continuity Planning or Disaster Recovery Planning, come be our guest at a future meeting.

LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

We need to applaud Becky Acton, our past president, for her devotion to leading our Oklahoma Chapter through 2005. With companies doing more with fewer employees I think we all feel stretched at some point during the year. I feel encouraged that ACP International is growing to meet the needs of our membership. The Presidents Meeting in Saint Petersburg, FL, this year was enlightening and productive. With continued our corporate guidance, the membership should continue to grow and become the resource for Continuity Planning.

We will continue to have 6 meetings a year in Oklahoma City and 6 meetings in Tulsa. Our combined goals should be to grow the membership by at least 10 people this year and get the word out about who we are, and what we are all about. This will take some major changes in how we are doing things right now, but I think the membership is ready. This chapter has been in existence since 1993, and we are very capable of being at the top of the list for membership and leadership for ACP International. This is Oklahoma!

I look forward to meeting the membership over the next year and hope that we can work together to move the Oklahoma Chapter to the forefront of ACP International. Thank you for being a member of ACP!
