WHO WE ARE This organization serves as a forum for business professionals working in the areas of business continuity, business resumption, contingency planning, disaster recovery and other related emergency recovery functions. Membership in ACP is open to all professionals interested in the many fields of crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery. Our chapter represents the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas. Our membership extends to all parts of the Metroplex representing a variety of industries. Guests are always welcome. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS While guests are always welcome, becoming a member of ACP provides unique benefits, including: · The ability to network with peers from a variety of industries in the public and private sector. · Access to the chapter website with recent industry articles, events, meeting information, working tools and publications. · Discounted pricing for educational opportunities. · Certification credits for attending meetings and educational forums. · Active members qualify to run for chapter offices, serve on committees, and qualify to run for national offices. Membership is open to professionals and individuals interested in the field of contingency planning, business continuity and emergency management, and other similar disciplines. WHEN WE MEET North Texas ACP meets every month in and around the DFW area. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. If there is a holiday preceding the meeting date, the meeting is then scheduled for the second Tuesday of that month. Meetings begin at 12:00 PM. Attendees should anticipate a minimum of 1.5 hours with an expectation that meetings will run 2 hours. WHERE WE MEET North Texas Chapter meetings will alternate between H5Colo and the Boy Scouts of America. Go to our Meetings Page for schedule and directions. ADDITIONAL MEETING DETAILS The meeting format is a brief business meeting followed by a presentation or program on related Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning activities. Chapter meetings are well organized, providing our members with professional presentations by industry experts.
