Dianne Smith was the 'idea person' behind the formation of the Association of Contingency Planners organization. Dianne, along with Lonnie Adams, Phil Bertino, Linda Burkett, Thomas Doemland, John Dorman, Marsha Keeney, Mike Noyes, Ed Sullivan and Tom Wilson worked together to organize a group where they could share their collective knowledge and experience in the field of business continuity.
Dianne is a member at large without Chapter affiliation.

John Dorman, CBCP, is the Director of Business Continuity for Western Union, headquartered in Englewood Colorado.
The majority of John’s 27 years in Business Continuity has been in the financial industry, working for such companies as Union Bank of California, Home Savings of America, and Washington Mutual. In each of these positions, he was responsible for the design, implementation and execution of Enterprise-wide Business Continuity Programs.
John is a founding member of the Association of Contingency Planners, a Certified Business Continuity Professional, author of several BCP articles, and has spoken at numerous Business Continuity Seminars and Conferences.
Additionally, John, called the "Master of Disaster" by the Bankers Monthly Magazine, is a "survivor" of over 30 disasters of various types and impact, including fires, earthquakes, floods, riots, mud slides, ice storms, hurricanes, communication outages, power outages, animal "sabotage", employee error, and simultaneous east coast and west coast events.
John is a member of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Chapter.
2006
Rich Arnold, CBCV (Certified Business Continuity Vendor), Publisher and Editor-in-Chief for DRJ for his dedication and pioneer spirit in advancing the business continuity profession and continued support of ACP. Among many accomplishments, Mr. Arnold founded the Disaster Recovery Journal, the first publication dedicated to the industry and cofounded the Disaster Recovery Institute. These two institutions have advanced the education and career paths for thousands of planning professionals.
Rich joined ACP in November 1994 and is a member at large without Chapter affiliation.
2006
Cheyene Haase, President of BC Management, Inc. for creation of a professional search firm dedicated to jobs in business continuity and related fields. Initiation of the BCP Salary Survey has elevated the status of practitioners worldwide.
Cheyene joined ACP in December 2001 and is a member of the ACP Orange County Chapter.
2006
Carey Storm, Director of Operations for Qualcomm Inc. for creation of the San Diego Sorrento Valley Force. This task force meets monthly to provide a forum for preparedness planning for local companies.
Carey joined ACP in March 2005 and is a member of the ACP San Diego Chapter.
