About Us - President's Corner

We are all very excited and proud about the formation of our chapter that captures the essence of what we do for a living. The Garden State Chapter is made up of individuals who practice Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning as a profession. Our meetings allow the members to meet every other month and network with each other. Professional speakers talk about their experiences and educate the members on these encounters. For certified members, Continuing Education Units are earned for every meeting attended. Our Executive Council of BC/DR professionals is available to serve the membership. The Council has been doing a wonderful job in setting up the necessary tools to support the Garden State Chapter.

We have Corporate Sponsors who graciously allow us to hold our meetings on their premises. This allows our Chapter to rotate the meetings throughout the state and meet additional professionals.

If you’re in the Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery profession, I personally want to invite you to one of our meetings. Please contact our Membership Director listed on the "Contact Us" page on the Garden State website for additional information.

The 2009 Garden State Chapter Elections are now complete.  The Nomination Committee will process all ballots and announce the 2009 Board of Directors.
